about

Awakening is Liz's re-emergence back into the music scene as a music artist in her own right. Though she has written a lot of music for other people recently, she hasn’t released any of her own work for a while.

This has mostly been due to her wanting to be totally genuine about the style she wrote. She has spent these last years lovingly honing her craft so that she can express the song of her soul.

Awakening is a journey through a beautiful and powerful, multi-textured landscape. Passionately fusing the worlds of classical and electronic music, Liz delivers a truly unique album that surpasses anything you've heard from her before.

This album is a compelling example of what is possible when you are truly committed to something. Its purpose is to inspire you to follow your own dreams.

What we're capable of is way beyond what we think we are capable of.

Track Name: Shape Of My Heart (Liz Cirelli version)
He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He doesn't play for respect

He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape
The shape of my heart

If I told him that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a girl of too many faces
The mask I wear is one

But those who speak know nothing
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck in too many places
And those who fear are lost

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape
The shape of my heart.
Track Name: Let It Rain
We all live
And we all die
One day we will have to say goodbye.
Let it rain.

We all laugh
And we feel pain
But to me it’s all the same.
And let it rain.

Let it rain
Let it rain
Let it rain

Have so much
I want to say
But, they tell me
Here you cannot stay.
Let it rain.

In my mind
The visions play.
You’re still here and yet so far away.
Let it rain

Let it rain
Let it rain
Let it rain

Oh
Let it rain oh
Let it rain
Let it rain

Oh oh oh
Oh Lord and let it rain
Down on me.
Track Name: Liz Cirelli & Akara Etteh - Through The Storm
Hear the sun cry far from home
Feel me turning round
Desire always brings me

These fires
They shake me.

I wait...
I wait to go.

This is how streets feel alone
Trembling flesh comes down
Desire calls to bring me
Burning please take me
Through the storm.

Oh
Track Name: Liz Cirelli feat. Elle Holgate - Infinite Blue
Take a dive
You wanna fly
Feeling sky high
Weightless pools of blue hold you tight

Take a dive
You wanna float
Going deeper still
Into blue smoke

Infinite blue

We're gonna do this
No time to fear
The future's past
We're already here

A wave so fast
It's crystal clear

Infinite blue

Never-ending
Round our bodies bending
Rippling out forever
Blue waves tie us together

You give up wanting more
And swim to the sea shore

Infinite blue

Deeper than
Me and you
